I have a sealed court order entitling me to 2 weeks holiday

This answer was rated:

I have a sealed court order entitling me to 2 weeks holiday in summer with my daughter (4 years old), I had agreed with mother for me to have my first holiday with my daughter from this Wednesday to Sunday (Nice, France) which has been booked. Mother informed me yesterday that child has chicken pox and included a photo of a few spots and that she cannot go on holiday which was based on what she has read online on ‘NHS Online’, it sounds too much of a coincidence and can’t believe she would trust online diagnosis.
What do you think I should do?
Can I insist she gets a doctors certification for my holiday insurance claim?
Yes you can insist that she gets a GP report - equally there is no reason why you can not look after your daughter even though she has chicken pox.

Is it also reasonable and would a court agree, for me to request any loss of access or agreed holiday time, due to ilness to be made-up?
Yes this would be a reasonable request
