I have a step-daughter of 16. A potential father is asking

This answer was rated:

I have a step-daughter of 16.
A potential father is asking for a DNA test via the courts.
If proved to be the biological father. What rights or access would he have automatically and what if any could he apply for?
My step-daughter has no interest in meeting him and has never met him before.
She is happy and settled with step-dad, mother and two sisters whom she has lived with since she was 3.5 years old. She has no desire to meet him.
Can she be forced to do so?
Thank you for your question - I am a family solicitor and can help.
You can rest assured that the courts will not entertain an application from a putative father to spend time with a 16 year old if she does not want to spend time with him.
No-one is going her to force her to spend any time with him - even if he is her father.
