How is the content of an opening statement fundamentally

This answer was rated:

How is the content of an opening statement fundamentally different from the closing statement in a final hearing?
HiFrankly in Family Law it is rarely different unless something unexpected has turned up during the evidenceIt is however the time at which any points of law should be highlighted

a quick follow-on: when I give my evidence in chief, can I talk through my witness statement and take say 15-20 mins or will I be expected to do an exec summary only?
15 - 20 minutes is not unreasonable
