The following text message arrived at 12:17 today on my husband’s mobile phone:
Mr Brown has instructed me to tell you that he’s suing you for 2 separate lawsuit’s and Mr Bill Brown one.Written exactly as it appears on the screen. I assume it is from my stepson’s solicitor though it seems strange. He has been threatening us for some time now. Your advice would be appreciated. My husband has just been diagnosed with dementia which is why I am checking his phone.Sincerely,

Thank you for your question

My name is Clare

I shall do my best to help you but I need some further information first

What makes you think that it is actually from a solicitor?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
To be honest it looks unprofessional to me but considering the problems we have been having with my husband’s ex wife and younger son I am erring on the side of caution.
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I need to go visit my husband shortly so I will be out for two or three hours.

have you had any previous dealings with the solicitor?

Are you aware that the site charges extra for a phone call?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I have already paid for the call through PayPal.
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
No previous dealings with any solicitor acting for Gareth Brown, my stepson.

It is highly unlikely that the texts came from a solicitor

In fact you should report these contacts to the police as harassment and ask them to investigate
