Sorry to hear about your situation. Firstly, the CSA (now CMS) are a different issue to the discussion of contact with the child. You have to make CSA/CMS payments regardless of if you see a child or not. The first thing you need to do is speak to the mother and see if you can get contact. If this is not the case then you will have to instruct a solicitor and take the matter to court for a child welfare hearing. A judge will look at the situation and hopefully order that you are to get contract. The level and type of contact will be legally instructed. If you, or your exporter has concerns then they can be raised at the hearing. If this is the case then the judge may instruct reports to be done prior to any contact being ordered.
