Is there anything else you feel is relevant to your question or anything else you would like to add before we continue?
Were you not informed when they were in the process of building the property on the wall?
Your neighbor should have served you a notice before they proceeded to build the property on the wall. If there is no notice given, the building of a property on the wall is not legal.
In that case, you may take the matter to the court and ask for a compensation.
Did the advocate in Guernsey sent a demand letter to your neighbor? You need to attach a copy of the demand letter in your application to the court.
The compensation you would get depends upon the cost of the property and all other relevant matters. There is no fixed amount and this heavily relies on the evidence that you have.
