I have lasting power of attorney for both my parents
i need to buy a car on finance to help move them around - can i use the LPA to buy the car on their behalf
Dear Friend,Hello and welcome. Thank you for providing an opportunity to assist you.YES-- Yes, you can use LPA, ie.e Lasting Power of Attorney to purchase / finance a car a car. However, you need to know one important thing.Just having an LPA will not absolve you from satisfying the eligibility criteria of the lenders. They would still see your parents repayment capacity, eligibility to borrow, etc. Having LPA will NOT reduce any of the documentation and eligiblity requirements. If you satisfy this requirements, then YES, you can use LPA to help yourself buy a car to move them. The following is just for your general reading / information. am sure this would help. I wish you good luck. You may please leave a positive rating if this helps as this is the only way we are compensated for assisting you. Alternatively, you may revert back with a reply if you need further assistance or if I have missed out on any aspect of your question.Warm Regards,
