Smashed my hatch back door into a lorry and the window glass has she shattered and the dooror frame is damaged for my ford focus etate gia 2005 grey /blue in colour
Do I go to a ford dealer to get a replacement and approximately how much will it cost
Hi there ,good evening to you

Ok this would have to be estimated first to see the extent to the damage but it wouldn't be cheap as you would need a door plus painting ,a window ,regulator. Possibly door module ,latch etc
This way could end up expensive
If you are not going through your insurance then
the cheapest and easiest Option would be a second hand one (same colour ) from a breakers this would be a case of bolting off and back on with everything inside the door already built
It would certainly be worth Looking around online for one

How expensive

Hi there

Ok it's difficult to put an exact price on a new door rebuild but iwould suspect around £1000 by the time you buy a door and paint it plus all the parts inside the door) this is depending on the level damage pending)
Most garages /ford bodyshops will give you a free estimate
But for an older vehicle it makes more sense to fit a second hand one which I imagine there will be as these breakers hold large volumes of parts from stripped vehicles

Regards in advance and have a nice evening
