I have just checked my oil and noticed my water cap is missing.

Ok what model engine suze is your vehicle
is this the coolant/antifreeze resivoir cap (screw on cap )that is completely missing

It is fiesta zetec s and yes the cap is completely missing

Ok you will need to go and replace this coolant cap ASAP as this us what pressurises the coolant system
If the system is not pressurised the vehice will overheat /boil up causing coolant loss
This can cause further damage to the engine . I would advise getting this cap fitted ASAP tommorow
