Hi there good morning to you and dirty for the delayed response
Ok does EAC Fail flash on the dash display
Does the vehicle just intetmitent start but then cut out completley or is the idle erratic or high idle
Does the vehicle drive ok ie no loss of power etc

no it starts first time every time but doesnt idle it just cuts out. i been warming the engine for two minutes and then it will idle, when driving off after doing this the engine pinks and is not smooth driving away . though this fault is intermittent . i cant confirm it yet but i dont think the EAC light comes on

Hi there thanks for replying
Ok if the engine is shuddering /hesitating when pulling away then l would firstly inspect the ignition system
Remove the plug leads and inspect in these ports for any water as these engines were prone to core plugs leaking coolant onto the spark plugs
If there is no water is there excessive brown rust in this area which indicates the washer jets letting rain water into the spark plug areas
If you need anymore help or advice on this issue please let me know
