Hi there thanks

ok this issue is down to a sticking /seized bonnet latch (commonly down to poor service maintenance /quality

as the latch should be checked and greased at every service

if you look to the passengers side of the bonnet latch you will see a small arm where the cable attaches

this must be able to spring back towards the passengers side of the latch

You can move this back and forward and use wd40 to free it off so it springs back

on rare occasions the spring can break again due to poor lubrication

if this happens you will need a new latch

as a temp fix just push the arm towards the passengers side of the latch and close the bonnet

If you need any further help or technical assistance going forward

please let me know and I will do my upmost to assist you
