the screen is blank with no audio,it just stopped all of a sudden. AO11LYS

Hi thanks

ok the most common cause of this issue is a faulty FCDIM (Front Control Display Interface Module )

this is the small LCD screen

there is 3 parts to the audio system

The lcd display

the audio unit (cd player )

And the control panel with all the buttons

the FCDIM is needed to make these all work

ideally you should have a network test carried out using diagnostic equipment as this lets you know if this FCDIM is responding or if it’s dead

you can try resetting it by pulling fuses 67 and 79 In the passengers fuse box (passengers footwell )and leave them out for 5-10 minutes before reinserting this can sometimes restart the system and is always the first port of call with this type of issue

so try this firstly

If you need any further help or technical assistance going forward

If you are satisfied with my answer /advice thus far

Kind regards ***** ***** and have a nice day and stay safe

Any POSITIVE FEEDBACK/are kindly appreciated

Kindest regards ***** *****

I have pulled the fuses out before but I never left them out for that long so I will try again this time for longer. Thanks Brian.

I tried the fuses but it didn’t help at all.

If the FCDIM is broken can these be purchased from eBay?

Hi there sorry for the delay in responding

yes a 2nd hand FCDIM can be installed as it does t require programming

ideally a network test should be carried out to see if the FCDIM is responding

but in my experience this will be the issue
