I have a 2015 Ford Kuga and am in the process of getting on

Customer Question

I have a 2015 Ford Kuga and am in the process of getting on fitted. Would this interfere with the parking sensors. If this is the case is there a way of temporally turning the sensors off.
JA: Which particular sensor are you asking about? And have any trouble codes been triggered?
Customer: I only have rear ones and no trouble.
JA: What is the model of your '15 Ford?
Customer: It is a 1.5 petrol eco boost
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have booked it in to have one fitted at Towbex
JA: Is there anything else the Mechanic should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.

No its being fitted by towbex

Hi John it’s advised to have a genuine ford towbar and electrics installed as the trailer module is programmed to the csn bus communications network

thus it switches the parking sensors off when it sees a trailer connected

a non ford one won’t be able to do this so the sensors may activate when reverse is selected

kindest regards ***** *****
