The most common issue is the immobilizer unit at the ignition switch is faulty and will need to be replaced.
You can try the following reset procedure below
Open and leave open the driver door
Place key in the ignition and turn to on position and leave
Disconnect the negative battery cable only
After 1 minute, reconnect the negative battery
The immobilizer should go off within 1 minute
Turn key off for 5 seconds and then crank engine

Do the following then.
Press the start button WITHOUT pressing the brake pedal
Press start button without pressing the brake pedal and wait for 5 seconds and then crank engine
Look at the battery and beside the battery posts one will. Have a plus symbol and one will have the minus symbol. The minus is negative
In the USA we call it negative. I believe you refer to it as earth or ground
