Hi Brendan
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
My birth certificate is a short form and doesn’t mention my birth mother
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Brendan. I have a photo of my b.c. where is the paper lip to attach it.

Hi Gerald,

Were you born in the Rotunda Hospital?

What details do you have on your mother?

Thw paperclip is Just above where you write, last symbol on the right.

You upload the document from your computer

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Is rotunda NC 4
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
OK Let me try
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Adopted parents both dead. No information shared by them with me on my birth mother

Hi Gerald,

It is not coming through

Children born in the Rotunda were baptised in the Pro Cathedral, Marlborough Street, Dublin

usually within a day or two of being born.

The baptism record usually gives more details than the birth certificate.

Details of your birth record

Name:***** *****ley

Mother's Surname:Hanley

Date of Registration:Oct-Nov-Dec 1948

Registration district:Dublin North

Hi Gerald,

Adoption became legal in Ireland July 1952

You were fostered after birth

Your adoptive parents may have not have had any information.

I believe I was baptised 23rd October 1948. Fostered 7th Nov 1950 and adopted 9h Sept 1957. I have a reference o he pro catholic diocese of Dublin, would that be Pro Cathedral, Marlborough St. Can you see my birth mothers full name?
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
My adopted mother used to refer to me as Hanley

Hi Gerald,

A birth certificate usually lists the full name of the mother and her address.

No father will be listed

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Which is all I wish to find but have only ever been given the BC you see. Do you not see the names of a Ms. Hanley in your records?

Hi Gerald,

I have a contact in the Pro Cathedral, they carry out searches Monday and Tuesday.

Email her Monday Morning

Mary Irwin

I would order a copy of your birth certificate as well

You can order the birth cert online

Come back to me when you have more info, I may be able to trace your birth mother.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
OK Brendan. Many thanks.

Hi Gerald,

Hanley is a surname particular to Co. Roscommon

Hi Gerald,

Mary Irwin now only issues baptism records to the person who was baptised.

She will probably charge you 10 euro

That is you

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Hi Brendan. Mary Irwin is on leave until next week so I will probably pay for another 7 day membership to get back in touch with you when she returns. Is that a good way forward? Gerald Michael Duffy.

Hi Gerald,

I will mark the question as answered, you can come back to me.

Just ask for Brendan

Hi Gerald,

Please do not forget to rate my answer, otherwise I do not get paid.
