I want you to attempt to reset it to rule out the firmware as the issue.

Turn the device off by removing and putting the batteries back in.

Press and hold down both "Soft" keys and the "Power" button.

Release the "Power" button when the unit turns on.

Release the "Soft" keys when the screen reads, "Do You Want to Clear All User Data?" Select the "Yes" option.

Let this complete and when it has, tell me please if it now functions please

Still same problem

It is the internal memory that has faulted.

A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to reinstall it. The fact that the issue continues, confirms its the internal memory that is shorting the device.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the device to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

This is out of warranty, is it worth a repair?

No sorry Stephen, these devices are cheaply made (as most now), and the replacement parts and labor exceed the cost of a replacement device.

Feel free to ask if you would like any additional information please.
