I am having problems with the drive belt on my MTD

Customer Question

Hello, I am having problems with the drive belt on my MTD Mastercut 92/135A (2007) ride on lawn tractor. I have recently replaced the two belts (original MTD) but the front belt (from the engine pulley) is extremely loose and when driven the accelerator pedal goes to the floor and the machine stops after a foot or so driving. I have been careful to route the belt correctly around the idler pulley and then to the variator and do not see how it is so slack. The rear belt (to the transmission went on ok and is reasonably taut. Hope you can help, thanks serial # *****
