My Truma water heater (gas and electric) in my motorhome has stopped working on gas. I can hear the solenoid valve open and the starter flame burning, but after about 6 seconds it trips out and the red trip light appears in the rotary switch. On electric it heats fine.

Michael :

Hi this is due to a faulty safety sensor called a thermocpouple

Michael :

did you want to replace this your self? or will you have an RV tech do this for you?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I would like to try and replace the thermocouple myself but am not sure if this can be done without disconnecting all the pipelines and electric cables from the boiler and possibly having to remove the whole boiler from the compartment under the motorhome sink. There is not much room in this compartment to wield tools etc.

Hi I know its a tight fit, but I have done them like that never removed the whole unit lol.
Do you need a source for that part?
