Andrew Smith : Is the cable run in metal conduit?
JACUSTOMER-vmo4sjii- :

Andrew Smith : That is what is used as an earth
Andrew Smith : if you want to continue to use this then it must be earth back to the main point and then tested for continuity at every light fitting and then if it is complete you can use it as an earth
Andrew Smith : if not then a complete earth system will have to be introduced to the circuit
JACUSTOMER-vmo4sjii- :

But this conduit is broken at some parts

Andrew Smith : You can bridge across with an earth cable to reinstate continuity with a pair of earth clamps
Andrew Smith : if that does not work then you should run a complete system
JACUSTOMER-vmo4sjii- :

can we install double RCD to protect this circuit

Andrew Smith : one on the neutral also?
JACUSTOMER-vmo4sjii- :

Andrew Smith : That would be as safe, yes
JACUSTOMER-vmo4sjii- :

Andrew Smith : No problem
