Hello and sorry you're having problems. How long have you owned the Pioneer for and when did the problem occur?
Also, what's the model number off of the back of the TV?
Are you using any sort of cable/sat box with the system?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
I bought th amplifier about 10 years ago
Problem occurred after I replaced fibre optic lead about a month ago
Tv model is Pdp-4270xd
Am using sky satellite so cable runs from satellite box to amplifier

Thanks for the reply. If the issue occurred right after replacing the fiber optic lead- then this would be the root cause of your problem.
Please first try a reboot of the SAT box by disconnecting from power for 10 seconds and plugging it back in.
Beyond this, it would seem the optical cable you received is faulty and should be swapped for another.
