It is asking how else would the gas have been collected for this catalyst experiment
Instead of using the gas syringe for the collection of oxygen gas that results from the decomposition reaction of hydrogen peroxide. The gas can be collected by another method in which hydrogen peroxide is poured into a conical flask containing some manganese(IV) oxide. The gas produced is collected in an upside-down gas jar filled with water. As the oxygen collects in the top of the gas jar, it pushes the water out.
