Complete new central heating installed 18 months ago .the Siemens programmable room thermostat is in the hall it's an old house,and the signal didn't reach the boiler, so the installers put an(my interpertion) relay between the boiler and the thermostat.however the boiler quite often doesn't come on and sometimes it comes on during .The engineer is never there when this occurs. Is it possible to run a wire between the boiler and thermostat position?
Perhaps he has remotely placed the receiver and run a wire to that?
