HVAC Questions? Ask an HVAC Expert for Answers ASAP
Good evening, and welcome to the Technical section in Just Answer, an independent paid question and answer platform that matches customers' questions to experts in various skills. My name is ***** ***** I'll be happy to help you today.I'm sorry to hear of your CM927 problem. This is a thermostat, not a boiler. If it has stopped displaying an accurate temperature then this suggest that is has developed a fault. When an RF thermostat misbehaves, it can be a software problem, which you can resolve as below. If that doesn't resolve it, then the thermostat has a defect and you'll have to replace it. So, in case it's a glitch, please do the following:
1. Remove the batteries. 2. Turn off the power to the receiver. 3. Move the thermostat to be within 1 metre of the receiver. 4. Wait 10 minutes. 5. Power up the receiver. 6. Put brand new batteries in the thermostat. 7. If necessary, follow the re-binding procedure.
If you're unable to proceed with step 3, you should still carry out steps 1, 2, and 4 through 7.
My apologies. I meant that you should follow steps 1, 4, 6.
Between which two posts did you wait for 10 minutes?
It's not a gas related fault, so any competent heating engineer can help you.
I'm not sure why you would want an electrician to work on a heating system.
As I said, any competent heating engineer can help you.
