I have a Hyundai i30 and my hazard lights won’t turn off.

Customer Question

Hello I have a Hyundai i30 and my hazard lights won’t turn off.
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: Both front and rear hazard lights
JA: What year is your I30?
Customer: 2014
JA: Are you fixing your I30 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: turning the car on and off. Locking and un locking the car.
JA: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: When I was driving home today some of the other lights on the dashboard were coming on including the handbrake light. This then caused the sensor to go off. the hand brake was obviously not on

Are they still going off now?
It is possible the switch is faulty. however you are also experienceing other lights coming on.
this suggest a fault in the electrical circuit somewhere,
youve tried disconnecting the battery correct?

Does the vehicle start up.

Customer: replied 12 days ago.
The battery has now gone dead. Had to go to work this morning so I’ve left the car behind.
Must be an electrical fault

Ok, and does your car have a manual handbrake fitted or a electronic one?
i will look into this to see what can interact with the hazard circuit etc.
message me when your home from work if you like, i dont want to keep you from your job.
in the meantime if i come across something ill email on here to let you know, sometimes it offers a phone call service just ignore it this is not necessary yet but the website offers it automatically.
thanks again.

Ok will do

im unable to find anything that will interact with the hazards other than the alarm, with the vehicle bringing other lights on id suggest an electrical fault, possibly water damage. are there any signs of dampness anywhere
