Had immigration doing raid at our business whilst our relative was helping with stock but not paid wage will we get fined by UK law he got status to stay but not work

Working, whether paid or not, without proper work authorisation from the Home Office is against the law I am afraid and the employer I.e. You may face up to £10,000 fine or 2 years imprisonment if you have not carried out checks to ensure that the person was indeed allowed to work at your premises.

I am sorry if this is not what you wish to hear. There is a strong likelihood that you may be fined I am afraid, although this is not 100pc certain as the Home Office could choose not to take any action.
