Hi UKSolicitorJA

As you know my wife is expecting twins in the month of August. It might be a chance that we will have to move back to our home country that is India. I have got a few queries.

1. Can you tell us about the procedure involved in applying for an Indian passport?

2. What is the minimum age required for an infant for air travel?

Thanks & Regards

Likin Gera
Hello Likin,

Thank you for your questions, which I would answer as follows:

1) The procedure and passport application forms and other information for applying for an Indian passport appears here:

2) There is no minimum age for infants to travel by air, as long as the infant is fit to fly, he/she will be fine to travel by air. The infant will require an air ticket.

Can I help further?
