Customer Question

I came to uk on Fiance visa in sept 2011 from India and got married to British national in Nov 2011 and applied in jan 2012 for leave to remain. Got the leave to remain in Sept 2012 for two years. Now it is expired and also i overstayed 28 days + 2 weeks as i was not able to apply as I was not well in last 2 weeks which were after 28 days. Now i want to apply for further leave to remain in person application and want to confirm that will I be still able to do so or will I get rejected as overstayed. Also can you confirm what will be the best solution.

You should apply for further leave to remain by post as your application is not straightforward and will therefore not be considered on the same day if you apply in person.

You should submit any evidence in your favour as to why you could not apply in time/

May I help further?

Hi have to go to india very urgent in 20 days. So i cant apply by post. Then what can I do? If I leave uk as it is can I apply from India and what are the chances to get visa from there and what will be the time frame

Your chances are better if you apply from within the UK but you may apply from India if that is what you really have to do.
You may make an appointment at a premium service centre and see if they are able to process your application on the same day but I highly doubt this.
All the best. Please leave feedback
