! I am an international student in Manchester. My visa runs out on 30th Jan 2015 but I have made an application on 15th Jan. I work part-time hours a week. I wanted to know if it is ok to work 20 hours a week until I receive any decision on myapplication from the Home Office. Your feedback will be of great help. Thanks.

I finish my course on 30th Jan 2015  and the extension is seeked months 'wrap up period' as mentioned in my CAS:

As per point 141 of the Tier 4 sponsor guidance (Assigning CAS and Sponsoring Students) the visa end date students current visa (30/01/15) is the same as the programme end date (30/01/15) allowing additional 4 months "wrap period" to be granted on their new expected end date.

As you have applied extension before your current visa expires, your visa is automatically extended by law under as. 3C of the Immigration Act 1971 (as amended). You are therefore entitled to continue working part time until you receive a decision on your extension application.
Hope this helps
