Hello, My name is***** and I have moved to UK from India on a permanent transfer January 1, 2015 and looking to start an adoption process. I have been given different information from two different agency and the national help line. can I please understand my rights of adoption if I am on 5 year ICT visa and looking to apply for ILR after that?

I want to understand when I will be eligible to start the adoption process.

Thank you for your question.
My name is ***** *****
I will do my best to help you but I need some further information first.
Who do you wish to adopt?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Any child from an Age group of 0 to 4 years. I have spoken to two agencies and have got contradicting information. One said I need ILR and the other asked me to wait for a year.

Are you married/living with someone?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Married and my husband is here with me and working.

What is his visa position?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

5 year ict tier a dependant visa

It is unlikely that any Agency will accept you until you are permanently resident UNLESS you are intending to adopt from your home country
This is not a matter of what is legally allowed - it is about the assessment process and the need to be certain about the future of the child.
However it is possible that there is an Agency who will accept you, but I am afraid it will take a number of calls to find one
