I would like to know what the restrictions are for someone

This answer was rated:

Hi, I would like to know what the restrictions are for someone with a spousal visa in the UK. How many days is the dependent allowed to be out the country each year?
JA: What steps have you taken? Have you filed any paperwork with the UK government? What country do you live in? What is your citizenship?
Customer: My parents are in the beginning of the process to move here from South Africa. My mom is a British Citizen so my dad would come using a spousal visa.
JA: Have you talked to a lawyer about the visa?
Customer: No
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: I think that is all

Good evening,

On a dependent visa you should not be outside the U.K. more than 180 days per year.

If you exceeded this absences then it can have effect on renewal of visa.

Thank you. What are the allowances for being out the country for business?

The same would apply to business not more than 180days.
