I want to know if my solicitor can act as executer of my will
JA: What state are you in? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: I live in Co LAois
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: Yes I have made a will and want to change the executor
JA: Anything else you want the Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No just if the solicitor that I made my will with I can ask to be executor as previous instructions are no longer viable

Thank you for your question. I am a wills and probate lawyer so I will be able to help.

Yes, as long as they are willing and able to provide a probate service then a solicitor can be appointed as a professional executor of a Will. Please ensure you ask how the charge for this service will be applied to your estate. It might be worth doing a bit of research on firms that provide the service and what their fees are for doing so.

I hope this information is helpful. Do you have any other questions I can assist with?
