Have not located a auto electrical engineer as yet. I assume that if you find an
expert for me it is contained within the original cost, and if not I will receive a rebate.I would also point out that I do not need any ongoing support and do not wish to contribute to any ongoing monthly payments.

hello Ray
if you can tell me your wherabouts I'll try to lccate a suitable specialist for you
the tricky part is getting the original ECU and gearbox controller to work in its new home as there will be inputs from the security system and the ABS controller and the body control unit
so I'd expect some issues with communication faults and possibly limited functionality of the transmisson
What might work better is to use an aftermarket ECU such as an MBE or Motec unit to run the engine and then an aftermarket transmisson control to run the transmisson

Thank you for that I think you are right need to start again with the power and gearbox unit (Plenty of wire and connections available) but was hoping to reuse the instruments. The lights and other services will be greatly reduced in complexity. I am located near Bridgnorth Shropshire but Telford and Wolverhampton are only 7 to 9 miles away so as far as Birmingham would be a possibility. Its a shame because the donor car produced 9 ECU's pity they could not be used.
