Sept 2004 jeep cherokee 2.8 crd, scan tool not known, done by garage

You Need to get hooked up to a dealer scan tool to check this system a GST will not work on this system.

When the management system sees the malfunctioning sensor it will trip a code and put you into limp mode .

The code has to be read and the problem rectified.

If you still habve an issue reading the codes with a dealker scan tool then you have a problem with the ECM ,this will have to be removed and tested ..

Please get back to me with the reply button, and not the poor or bad service, this way i can get back to you or suggest another expert if needed.

thankyou for the info, so probably best to go to jeep dealer then ?
Also I have read up in manual that I have it maybe catylitic convertor, but not to change it before proper diagnostic test is done ?

Thanks for your help Greg

You may have a DPF i believe ? which is like a Cat ,
This can be cleaned out with the diagnostic dealer scan tool , this could in fact be your problem ..

But yes do the diagnostic test first to confirm what problem you have .
