We have a Kia Sorento 2006. It cut out without warning twice.

Customer Question

We have a Kia Sorento 2006. It cut out without warning twice. Garage 'repaired' it by a Terraclean and replacement fuel filter. My husband was then ill so the car was not used much couple of weeks. A month after the work was done it cut out three times in five minutes so a breakdown truck returned it to the garage. This time they diagnosed an air leak in fuel filter housing which they replaced. Two weeks later it is back at the garage and they want £4000 to replace the fuel pump and clean the system through and replace the oil pump as they have found swarf in the system, don't know what to do as the car will not be worth the money spent.

We needed help before we went to see the garage which has charged us £1,400 and failed to fix the fault. We have collected the car { at a cost of £131.60 to replace a filter so it would be relatively safe to drive home} No point in asking now. Forget it.
