Removed the battery. Still a black screen but i can hear the fan.
Thank you

Shine a flashlight on the screen and tell me if you see the screen image faintly.

I want to check if the Blacklight has failed.

No cant see anything then.
ok, can you check if additional memory has been added please and remove this and then try to start it (to rule out faulting memory).

you can see how to do this on my link below

No new memory has been added.
Thank you

It is the motherboard or processor that has faulted.

We have now confirmed this. We know the backlight, Battery and memory is not the cause of this, as well as residual power, which leaves either the Motherboard or the processor as the faulting component based on the symptoms you are describing.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the Laptop to have a hardware diagnostics performed on it so they can confirm which of the two is faulting and have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
