More information:-

When I Switched on My Laptop - the logo "Samsung" is shown -

Then after about 20 seconds it states Preparing Automatic Repair - which stays on the screen for about 1 minute

Then the Logo and "Preparing Automatic Repair" is replaced by a blank screen -

which stays blank for about 10 Minutes
Then the Samsung Logo comes back on with the words "Diagnosing your PC" this stays for approx 10 Minutes
Then theses words are replaced by "Repairing disk errors. this may take over an hour to complete" I left my PC on for over 24 hours but there was

no change - It still shows the Samsung Logo and "Repairing disk errors. this may take over an hour to complete"

I hope this is helpful

It is, I am hoping you are not having a hard drive failure. I want you to try and run recovery. You will need adobe reader to download and read this file.
That is a link to it. You will want chapter 5 It will tell you how to do this. Please let me know the out come.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I followed the instructions in chapter 5 but nothing happens. does this mean I'm having a hard drive failure.

Is there anything else I can do.?

If you are not able to get the machine to go through it's built in recovery partition and it's mentioning disk errors than yet it does look like you may be having a malfunctioning hard drive. It would need to be replaced. How long have you had this machine and do you know how to replace a hard drive yourself. Because if you have not had it a year than all you would need to do is contact Samsung and have them send you a replacement hard drive and the recovery software on disk. If not you would need to have the hard drive replaced and Samsung would need to send you the recovery software. You would need to call them atSunday: CLOSED
