We cannot get the mouse pad to move to choose repair your computer and have tried restarting with no joy

That error code is a memory error, you get that straight after it tries to start up correct?

Hold ALT and with it held down, turn on the Acer and keep tapping F10

Are you able then to get to the recovery manager?

It is now starting Windows and going into acer recovery management and is asking me to wait

I have completely restore system to factory defaults

I haven't asked it to restore as it says I will loose all data on the c drive. Most of what I have I have saved on an external hard drive but not my music. Will it loose that?

yes, but you need to try to do the restore, so you cannot avoid that sorry.
