Can't get onto gmail,facebook,etc. Panel says pc is"

Hi,can't get onto gmail,facebook,etc. Panel says pc is " corrupted". Is this terminal? irretrievable? or is there a solution,please.

is the computer starting at all?

it starts ok & I can do things offline like look at photos. For anything else it says"problem loading page" & " corrupted content error"

Which web browser are you using?

Firefox &/or chrome

In chrome, click the three dots top right then settings

Then click on Advance, then on reset

Once done, tell me if it works in chrome please

I did all those steps,seemed successful,but chrome didn't work - "no internet connection"

Can it open any web pages at all?

Is the computer connecting via wifi or cable to the internet?

Press the windows key and R

Type in


press enter

right click on wireless and select connect and connect to it

then try a web page please

Still says "not connected" on network connections page

What exactly happened when you did my instructions? Did it show as connecting

On the last page it came up as not connected & the panel at bottom right of my screen says " no connections are available"

did you see your network in the list

No, not a virus, remove the power to your wifi router, wait 1 minute, connect the power and re-do my instructions please
