I have a toshiba protege Z930-152. Using it regularly but just now fired it up and it seems to just come to the Toshiba leading innovation page and a ring circling saying Locking your computer. I cannot progress
JA: What's the brand/model and Operating System (OS) of your laptop?
Customer: Window 7 proffessional
JA: What have you tried so far with your laptop? Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: not that I am aware. But when I see them asking me to update I do install
JA: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no I would just like to get onto the computer, it is just constantly timing saying it is locking my computer

Just checked. Cannot remove the battery. A very thing and lightweight machine

OK. Please shutdown the computer and remove the charger. Make sure nothing is connected to the laptop and shut it down.

Press & Hold the power button for 50 seconds and then turn it on and check.

Let me know once it is complete!!

When I press the start button it fires up as there is sufficient life in the battery

Ahhh. It has now gone to dos programme and headed Windows Error recovery

If it is showing windows error Recovery, then there is only option to fix it .

You will have to reset the computer with the help of windows DVD for windows 7.
