Not starting up. Continually and rapidly switching on off.

Assistant: What Operating System (OS) are you running on your laptop?
Customer: Windows 10
Assistant: Does your laptop make any noise when rebooted? Are any of the LED lights on?
Customer: Just the sound of the fan going on and off as well power light flashes at same time
Assistant: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Has happened before and aventually came on with a button sequence which I don't remember. Probably just coincidence. Has been running fine for a while since then

Nothing on screen at all just black screen and the clicking and power light going on and off

power plugged in?

If I hold down the ctrl key and press power button the optical drive will try to start once but then just does the same as the rest and cut off again

Have tried it with both the power plug and the battery and the power plug on its own, same result

sounds like a processor issue
