Laptop Questions? Ask a Laptop Technician for Answers ASAP!
Hi, my name is ***** ***** I will help you with your question today.
Your computer is fine, not attacked or managed by any unknown party.
The shares are by default for any Windows computers, from the servers to the Windows clients such as Windows 10. Please see below the screenshot of my Windows 10 computer, which has the exact same shares by default.
Please don't worry too much. :-)
But I am in a remote session now. Will be back once done.
Regarding your laptop listed as remote host in the screenshot capture.png, it just means your computer is running a number of services with loopback connections, such as SSDP, WS-DISCOVERY and WSD. You can be sure it is safe because you can see the connections are from local to local.
They are ALL for Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2, not physical connections at all.
I am in a remote session now. Will be back once done.
I still don't see any unusual things (connections and on-screen message) showing you have connections to external servers.
> see pings 3 and 4 has remote access occurred?
I can't follow you on this. What do you mean by "pings 3 and 4"?
Thanks for requesting remote assistance services. Please let me know what kind of computer you are using for the remote session, such as Windows PC or Mac?
Thanks. I am preparing the link for you.
If you are reading this message from the Acer PC running Windows, please click HERE to start a remote session with me. Thanks.
Have you clicked the given HERE button to join the session?
FYI - my laptop's battery is running extremely low now. I have to leave for a while to return to my desktop.
All done. All given shares were double-checked and confirmed were system defaults and not external hosts were connected except the host itself.
