Hello and welcome to Just Answer,

There is a time limit on credit cards collecting debt of 6 years after default. If it is over 6 years since you last made a payment on the credit card and you have not acknowledged the debt in writing and a claim in court has not been issued then the credit card company is statute barred from persuing the debt.

That being the case you should not acknowledge the debt to the debt management company but write to them saying it is statute barred. So long as you do not do so they will not be able to persue you in court for the money.

please remember to give positive feedback. I will be happy to answer your follow on questions.
