Customer Question

I took out van insurance 22nd feb, paid premium in full. Had an accident on Tuesday 12th march, My insurance informed me when I spoke to them, that my policy had been cancelled on Friday the 8th march. They said they had sent me a letter asking for copy of licence, proof of address ect. I never received this letter and am now told I am personally liable for any costs to the person I hit. Is there anything I can do? Please help!

I have had exactly this myself with an insurance
company, but it was for proof of bonus and it was after 21 days. I sued the
insurance company, successfully, I might add.

Which insurance company, is it?

So they are saying that they cancel the policy 14
days after you took it out.

Did they ask for the licence and proof of address
when you took the policy out? Had you sent them?
