Do you have a specific question?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

I am provided with protective clothing for example goggles, gloves and mask

i am getting alot of flues and so is my family i just feel that it is up to my boss to make my work place more comfortable re.heating

there is an open roller door that i can close as i wish but no heating in the garage

Whether the employer is required to provide heating
depends on the practicality and the job. For example, you cannot be provided with
heating on a building site or in a Garage such as a tyre fitting bay where
vehicles are in and out with monotonous regularity. To heat such a building would
be an impossibility. However, it is not unreasonable for the employer to
provide a heated restroom.

The employer is under a duty to provide a safe
system of work. It would depend whether there was a risk of heavy items falling
on your feet as to whether he would be required to provide steel toed boots.

Influenza is a viral infection and has nothing to
do with being cold I am told. It is
passed from one person to another through the air and it can be absorbed
through the skin.

It may be that your immune system is not up to
scratch, and in that respect, you might want to see your doctor. I can almost
guarantee it is nothing to do with the door being open.

I appreciate that this is not the answer you
wanted, but there is no point in me misleading you.
