I wish to change the Managing Agents on my Buy to Let flat.

Customer Question

I wish to change the Managing Agents on my Buy to Let flat. They have been managing it for about four years, but I find them both inefficient and negligent. Is there a cost involved, and if so, how would it be calculated ?

What does the contract say about giving them a notice period?

Have they asked for money?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Have mislaid the contract, which is maddening, so not certain of agreement timing...they have not asked for money, as I have not yet decided to replace them, without the necessary info..but very much wat to do so.
Could they sue me in any way if the contract is broken ?

You need the contract. If there is a cancellation fee or some notice is
required, they are entitled to charge that.

The safest way is usually to see what notice period is required in the
contract and simply give them that much notice.

Ask them for a copy of the contract telling them that your accountant needs
it for some reason.
