my company went into liquidation 2 years ago and now the administrators

my company went into liquidation 2 years ago and now the administrators are taking me to court trying to claim monies from me that were paid from the company as private payments such as insurance policies.they have got a court date but they have said the company that i had was a & j limited when in fact it was a & s limited does this make any difference?

The claim against you continues, and you need to be able to deal with that at Court.

If you are comfortable using the Court system, there is no need necessarily to see a lawyer, although that said, it can have big advantages to see a lawyer as they will be conversant with the legal system and familiar with the law. So, it might prove to be a useful more.

Also, a company in administration is a prime candidate for a security for costs order against it. This is where the company is ordered to pay money into Court incase it loses. Often, they cannot do this. This might, therefore, be a way to end this claim very quickly if the application is successful. For this reason, it might be worth seeing a lawyer.
