Hi all, please can you help! I am at my wits end! my dad passed

Customer Question

Hi all, please can you help! I am at my wits end! my dad passed away nearly 2yrs ago. For the last 10yrs he & my mum lived in Jamaica. However my mum is now back in the uk. I have1older brother & 2 older sister's. Before our mum & dad moved to Jamaica they stayed at my sister's my dad put her name on his bank account so should could tranfer money to him when he needed. My sister has turned on the rest of us siblings & has since taken my mum to the bank & put her name to our mums account, she refuses to meet us to discuss our mum. Refuses to show us our mum's bank statement's our dad's will there hasn't even been a will reading & she is now saying our dad didn't sign his will & she is exector. This is very suspicious to me & my siblings & do we have rights to see the mentioned documents. Our mum doesn't say anything she's elderly & greiving & gets confused sometimes. Many thank's Maurz

Hello, I am Law Denning and I am a practising solicitor in a High Street practice. I have been an expert on this website in UK law since 2008. During that time, as you appreciate, I have answered thousands of questions from satisfied users on a variety of subjects. Because we are all in practice with clients and court and other users, I might not always respond in minutes. Please bear with me in that case

It is my pleasure to try and assist you with this today. Please bear with me while I gather some further information from you in order for me to be able to advise you fully.

Unless I have all the facts that I need, my answer would not be accurate.
