Customer Question

My role at work is being incorporated into a new role with extra responsibilities, based on new working practises which will be implemented tomorrow. The workforce were informed of this two weeks ago at a meeting (first consultation) and were told at the end of the meeting that individual consultations would follow. Todate there have not been any individual consultations. I am worried as I have been put on an 'on call' rota as a result of these changes without any consultation. I am a single parent with four children to look after as my wife died 7 months ago. My employers know this and being on call will pose great difficulties for child care at nights and weekends. Should this not be taken into consideration by employers in a consultation.
