The police want to interview me about an allegation of theft

Customer Question

The police want to interview me about an allegation of theft my employer has made. I have just been discharged from hospital and am taking strong pain relief constantly (tramodol) which just makes me very sleepy. Can the police interview me while I am taking these or would I need to see a police doctor first to verify that I am fit for interview?

What has been taken from your employer?

They are saying I have stolen 4 iphone5's. I have these phones and I have not stollen them. I work from home as well as the office and so had them at home to start setting them up but I was signed off sick by my GP for 2 weeks. This was back in January this year. Since then my employer requested that i u send in my laptop which I did but has not asked me for any other equipment that I have. They are trying to sack me and I have been experiencing different levels of harassing behaviour and feel this is the latest as they have received a medical report from my GP saying I'm not currently fit to attend any meetings with them. They have not contacted me about these phones just gone straight to the police accusing me of steeling them.
