Customer Question

I bought a car in ecember 2010. After less than a year it develped a fault. the Diesel Particulate Filter in the exhaust system became choked and a signal flashed on the dashboard screen. The car is a Mazda diesel. Reg 06, mileage 40K. I had it fixed and the engineer told me it should not have occured, certainly not before Mileage 75K. Sinc ethen it has occured three times, once I dealt with myself. The last I reported to the Mazda Main agent from whom i purchased the vehicle. I wrote to them, sugesting this was an inherent fault, which they denied, but started to ask me if i had been driving the car in an appropriate manner ! As the car had been put into 'Safe' mode I asked, by letter if it was harmfu to continue driving. They never aswered.

Since then, the car has run out of oil, although no warning was given by the engine management system, and the engine has completely siezed up.
